Classical Piano at the Movies

Pianist Jennifer Goodenberger will present a concert entitled “Classical Piano at the Movies” on Saturday, February 21 at 7:30 at the Borrego Springs Performing Arts Center. The concert is a benefit for the Borrego Springs Film Festival.
The music for this concert was chosen based on films in which an actor is seen playing classical music on the piano. The films include, The Pianist,” “Immortal Beloved,” “Song of Love,” and “Amour,” among others. The music to be performed includes compositions by Beethoven, Chopin, Schubert, and both Robert and Clara Schumann.
For this concert, Jennifer will be revisiting her Classical roots. Before turning her attention to exploring music from other genres, Jennifer concertized for many years as a classical pianist. In particular, she focused on the compositions of Clara Schumann (1819-1896), and toured giving talks and concerts on Clara's music and life.
