Classical Music at the Movies
Borrego Springs Performing Arts Center, PO Box 243, Borrego Springs, CA
The music for this concert was chosen based on films in which Classical Music is used not only as the soundtrack, but is innately involved with elaborating the storyline. The films include, “Immortal Beloved,” “Portrait of Jennie,” and “Brief Encounter” among others, with compositions by Beethoven, Brahms, Debussy, Rachmaninoff, Schubert, and both Robert and Clara Schumann. Jennifer will discuss how the music is used in each film before performing it.
This concert is a benefit for the Borrego Springs Film Festival.
